I received this postcard through Swap-bot from Platteville, Wisconsin. The postcard says, "Platteville WI was founded in 1827 and settled by European miners attracted to the area by rich lead deposits. A mining history exhibit is at the Mining and Rolla Jamison Museums. The city hosts the downtown historic shopping district and is home of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The Chamber of Commerce...is the official gateway welcoming and information center for southwestern Wisconsin." The sender wrote, "This is the small town that I live in - only 10,000 people but an OK place to live." Thanks Jan!
