I received this postcard through Postcrossing. It is dated July 30, 2016. It was sunny and 91 degree Fahrenheit when the sender wrote this card. The postcard says, "Christ of the Mines Shrine. This five-ton Italian Carrara marble statue is dedicated to the rugged miners of the San Juan Mountains." The sender wrote, "Hello Alyssa. I live in Littleton, Colo. I am 76 years old. My adopted twin daughters live in Missouri, one in Mexico and one in Fulton. I love to go visit. Such a beautiful state." The Postcrossing ID is US-4156507. Thanks for the postcard, Mary!
