I received this postcard on December 5, 2014. It is dated November 30, 2014. It does not have a location listed, however the postmark says Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bird on the postcard is a Western Screech Owl, a small North American owl. It has pointed ear tufts. This is a nocturnal owl, which relies on its camouflage when it is hiding in its daytime roost, so may not fly away even if closely approached. Thanks for the postcard, Tammy!
