My husband received this postcard on December 17, 2014 from Germany through Postcrossing. The Postcard ID is DE-3733352. The sender said, "Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season. I was hoping to find a nice winter/Christmas postcard from my hometown (Essen) but unfortunately, I didn't. On the front, you can see a traditional German Christmas market. My town has one too, so I through it is appropriate. The translation would be: Christmas. Season of lights and glowing faces. How great it is when it snows, the world is silent, the sky is wide."
