Ohio

The description on the back says the following: "The Ural Owl is a notoriously fierce bird - the Swedish call it the "strike owl" for its habit of attacking anyone who dares go near its nest. This is a large, pale grey, round-headed owl found mainly in pine forests across north-eastern Europe and Asia." Thanks Carol!

She said "Since we're so close geographically, I decided to send you this card I got at St. Mary's Church in Berlin. The statues inside really are stunning; this one is right above the pulpit. This church is 700+ years old! Originally a Roman Catholic church, it's now a Lutheran Protestant. While I traveled this autumn I got to see a lot of beautiful churches both in Europe and New York City. I'm a big fan of their somber, reflective interiors and decor." Thanks Sarah!

Nyon, Switzerland

I received this beautiful postcard on November 25, 2014 from Switzerland through Postcrossing. It is dated November 18, 2014. On the back, she wrote "I send you here a part of my area, there is Nyon. This little city was built in -45 (the early 3rd Century.) It remains some Roman columns. The city is lake front. It is very beautiful to walk along in winter when all is frozen. I have done lots of photography during this season. The lake is named Leman Lake and is the deepest natural lake in Europe." Thanks Alison!

On the back, it says "Bandelier dates from 1150-1600. The structures were homes and territory to the Ancestral Pueblo People. Bandelier is located north of Albuquerque about two hours.
